Seeking Knowledge Keepers

AKRC is looking for Knowledge Keepers – This program is aimed to provide members opportunities to learn our culture and traditions. We at AKRC recognize the knowledge and culture right in the communities we work for, and extend an invitation to our members on sharing their gifts.

Teachings we are looking for:

  • Harvesting and Preparing Medicines
  • Setting and Lifting Nets
  • Hunting
  • Fishing
  • Story Telling
  • Land-Based Teachings

We are looking for individuals in all 5 First Nations. Please reach out if you know of anyone that may not have access to internet or Facebook.

We are currently looking to book for the month of June 2021.


More information about the Mental Health Pandemic Program:

This new program is designed to provide members opportunities to learn of our culture/traditions and to reconnect with the community. These include land-based teachings and activities. In addition, clients will have access to counselling sessions that will include ceremony, either individually or family based, to help address the systemic problems that arise from addictions.
